My Choose Your Own Blog Adventure

So, I’m notoriously bad about writing my weekly blog post. Somehow, I’ve so-far avoided being publicly shamed and/or flogged by both Nancy and Chris A., but I’m skating on some thin ice over here. The problem is when it comes to my blog day, I freeze up. It’s like when you arrive at a bookstore and suddenly have no idea what book you should buy. There are too many options!

Then, when I finally decide on what I’m going to blog about, my internal dialogue goes something like:

“Oh no, Tavia. Nobody cares about what you think about the future of the book.”
“Really? Not even a couple people?”
“Nope, not even one. And are you seriously still reading Moby Dick? You’ve been reading that for like five months.”
    “I know. Shameful.”

So today, a thought occurred  to me. How about asking people in the OLL blogosphere what they want me to blog about? That way, I won’t have to think or have conversations with my various insecurities.

    Double score!

I’ll write about anything (well, anything that is appropriate and non-political). Seriously. Want me to write a column reviewing hamburgers? Want me to feature submission deadlines for literary magazines? Want me to discuss the therapeutic value of karaoke? Want me to review Choose Your Own Adventure novels? Want me to write all about how I cannot seem to finish Moby Dick?

Whatever you want! No idea is too absurd!

Heck, I’m up for a new challenge: I’ll give it my all to write about everything that’s posted on this blog.
